Being aware of the threats and taking steps to protect yourself and your property, will make you a lot less likely to become a victim of crime. At the most basic level, all people are concerned about their well-being and that of their family. This makes it so important to keep the home safe.
This module will help you to identify potential vulnerabilities, threats and risks, then to propose simple, affordable and achievable countermeasures that the average person can implement to increase their levels of home security.

A security survey is a critical on-location evaluation of your home. The goal of this evaluation is to determine the present security posture, identify possible shortfalls and vulnerabilities, and make recommendations so necessary steps can be taken to reduce risk.
This module aims to increase your understanding and ability to conduct a security audit on your home and therefore increase the safety of the most valuable possessions inside, your family.

Traditionally, Hostile Environment Awareness Training was mostly provided to international journalists, oil and gas contractors, government employees or INGO/Humanitarian aid workers. In today’s unstable climate, it has become increasingly important that employers provide similar training to all staff travelling into high-risk locations. For too long, traditional HEAT courses have been out-of-step with the humanitarian and development sector and not reflective of our values. We believe that our course provides organizations with a tremendous opportunity to take steps toward equitable security while continuing to fulfil their duty of care.
The Prosectra HEAT Online Course is designed for participants from a wide range of backgrounds and occupations. Participants will be trained to recognize and mitigate potential threats and respond appropriately to safety and security incidents.
This fully accredited course comes with the accreditation Level 2 Hostile Environment Awareness Training Online.

Attacks against facilities can come in a variety of forms, including the more prominent active shooter scenarios through to lesser used tactics of knife and vehicular attacks. Regardless of the method, schools remain one of the most vulnerable places due to their very nature of being welcoming and communal. As a result, it is essential that school staff are prepared to respond to any attack scenario through a continuous cycle of assessment, preparation, implementation, and review. While we stress that attacks come in many forms, and evolve along with societal trends, we will utilize the more familiar expression of Active Shooter throughout this course for the purpose of learning through recognition of terms.
It is crucial for schools to not just formulate and implement specific guidelines and best practices about what to do in case of an active shooting event, but also practice, review, and refine. This involves everything from promoting a culture of acceptance and discipline, to identification and engagement with potential active shooters, to knowing what to do after an incident occurs. By educating staff and students on these important measures, schools can take proactive steps to create a safer environment and minimize the risk of harm.

Traveling by road is always more hazardous than working in an office. This is because you are in an environment you do not fully control; and more specifically you simply do not have any influence over other people’s driving practice. In fact, insurance companies have determined that it is approximately 25 times more dangerous to travel by car than flying.

Welcome to the online training program on Hostile Vehicle Threats. The structure and majority of the content is adapted from the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure and the course is designed to provide a guide for detecting and mitigating risks to you, your premises, and your operations through a better understanding how someone could use a vehicle as a weapon or delivery mechanism to harm your personal and corporate interests.
As historical examples abound for both simple and complex attacks, motor vehicles have been an instrument of choice for terrorists to target pedestrians, breach physical security barriers, and deliver explosive devices. The use of a vehicle is scalable (based on intended target and environment), requires minimal preparation (depending on target and motivation), and is encouraged by terrorist leaders to be carried out by their adherents. Understanding this reality and potential is the first vital step in preparing for, defending against, and countering such threats to better secure your personnel and organization.

Random criminality exists everywhere in the world, and we can all be in the so-called ‘wrong place at the wrong time’. We may all become the random victim of a terrorist attack, or a street robbery, or a falling meteorite. This programme is not about that. This is about you mitigating your exposure and risk of being the target of those who want to harm you. You have been chosen, for some reason, to be robbed, kidnapped, extorted, blackmailed, or otherwise harmed.
This module is designed to provide a guide for mitigating risks to you, your premises, and your operations by understanding how an adversary may conduct surveillance operations against you.

The world is experiencing one of the most intensive periods of active shooter incidents in history. Over the past few years, active shooting incidents have increased dramatically, so much so that most organizations now feel the need to educate their employees on this extremely violent threat.
This module aims to improve your chances of surviving an act of extreme violence like an Active Shooter incident. We will explore what you should consider when faced with an Active Shooter and provide you with valuable information on your 3 survival responses: Run, Hide or Fight.
