Our professional paths were forged in service: Shaun through 36 years in the New Zealand Defence Force, including senior diplomatic roles and peacekeeping missions in Timor Leste and the former Yugoslavia; Simon through decades in the New Zealand Police, leading high-profile criminal investigations and international operations in the Solomon Islands, followed by undertaking a national role in emergency management and business continuity. These experiences taught us the value of integrity, decisive leadership, and the importance of safeguarding communities.
From commanding teams in complex environments to advising governments and international organisations, we’ve dedicated our careers to making the world safer. Today, that mission continues through Critical Path Protection, where we focus on securing critical assets and strengthening resilience across the Asia-Pacific region.
But beyond the uniforms and operations, we are family men, each blessed with amazing wives and great kids. Family is at the heart of everything we do, and it drives our commitment to creating a safer future for generations to come.
We’re still passionate about sport, especially New Zealand’s national game, because it embodies teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, values that mirror our approach to protecting critical assets and people. Those same principles guide our approach to deliver security solutions that make a real difference.
At Critical Path Protection, our commitment is clear: to safeguard people, information, and operations across the Asia–Pacific region. Security is more than a service; it’s a responsibility that builds trust, resilience, and continuity for organisations and communities.
Our vision is to lead the Asia–Pacific region in trusted, forward-thinking protective security that builds resilience, prevents harm, and disrupts organised criminal activity. Our mission is to empower organisations with robust security frameworks, training, and intelligence to safeguard critical operations and counter emerging threats.
